Anthony Hemmerdinger is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Boots UK & ROI. He has over 30 years' experience in the retail and hospitality industry, having held senior leadership roles at M&S, Sainsbury’s, Carphone Warehouse and Greene King. Prior to joining Boots, Anthony was COO of Asda where he was responsible for managing the store teams through the Covid-19 pandemic. Anthony began his career at Boots with a Saturday job as a teenager, before rejoining the business as Retail Director in September 2022, with responsibility for stores, central operations, and logistics functions. He was promoted to Managing Director in November 2024 and leads the Boots Executive team, guiding the business through its successful transformation, driving consistent growth across all categories, and enhancing Boots' health & beauty offering in-store and online. Anthony lives in Sheffield with his family and is based at Boots HQ in Nottingham.
