Since 2019, Jody has held the position of CEO at Nobody’s Child, steering the company towards considerable success. Her prior experience includes notable positions at four major retailers.
Following her university education, Jody joined River Island, where she discovered a passion for product and trading. Subsequently, she joined Reiss, as Head of Buying and Merchandising. During her time at Reiss, she gained a comprehensive understanding of the business from ground level, learning from David Reiss, a respected figure in the industry.
To strengthen her experience, Jody made a notable career move from luxury retail to the largest retailer in the UK, Tesco. She successfully managed teams of +100 and played a pivotal role in the integration of international and domestic teams.
While at F&F, Jody distinguished herself as a female leader by championing initiatives related to flexible working. Her support for these changes, especially upon returning to work after her second child, became a pivotal moment in advancing opportunities for working women – a true legacy moment.
Further embarking on her career, Jody embraced a fresh challenge at New Look, where she met Tom Singh, a visionary and mentor. She held the role of Product Merchandising Director for 4 years before Tom and founder Andrew Xeni, invited her to assume leadership at Nobody’s Child. Collaboratively, they embarked on a mission to reposition the brand as a leading responsible and accessible retailer.
For Jody, the Nobody’s Child journey has fulfilled her professional aspirations, allowing her to shape and steer a purpose driven brand while simultaneously driving a culture of positivity and inclusivity. With 152 employees across head office and stores, Jody has built a team of passionate changemakers who all embody the NC brand.
Jody is empowered by a supportive group of shareholders, working closely on the strategy for the brand, and providing the trust in her to create a destiny for both her and the brand.
