With over 20 years' experience in retail, healthcare and consumer services, Louise is the former COO of the Pets at Home vet group. She joined Pets at Home in 2004 as general counsel and company secretary, and subsequently held the roles of chief people and legal officer from 2017 to 2019 and group chief people and culture officer from 2019 to 2022.

Prior to Pets at Home, Louise graduated from Nottingham University with an LLB (Hons) Law. She is a qualified solicitor and started her career at CMS Cameron McKenna as a trainee solicitor in 1997, later moving to DLA Piper as an associate in the corporate finance team.

Louise also co-founded and was the chair of the Pets Foundation for 16 years as well as a NED on the board of Hostmore Plc, owner of the TGI Fridays franchise in the UK.
